The Paradise Boutique and Spa, Koh Yao Noi – Luxury boutique resort near Phuket, Thailand.
Close your eyes for a moment and imagine that picture postcard beach. Powdery white sand, jade green water lapping at the shores and gentle limestone islands on the horizon rising out of the sea like the ripples of a dragon’s tail. Imagine the sun warming your skin, the cool of your private pool licking your toes, the breeze rustling the palm trees and the sense of seclusion. Imagine that you are part of a family and that you are all working together to ensure that your body and mind is relieved of every knot of tension.
Now let me tell you a secret, you have just been transported to The Paradise Boutique of Koh Yao, Thailand.
Your carriage in the form of a private speedboat will deliver you from the hustle and bustle of Phuket or Krabi to a jungle fringed bay on Koh Yao Noi island. As you glide past world famous towering limestone islets you are invited to peruse the delights held within the Spa or the Activity menus because your luxury Thailand experience has just commenced. Between the cold towels on arrival, the delicious welcome drink and an invitation to the Manager’s cocktail party for new guests, I doubt that it is possible to feel more welcome. As the sun sets on your first day and you looked out over the gentle sea, the sun casting a red glow on the islets on the horizon, sip your Mai Tais, nibble your canapés and feel your worries begin to ebb away with the tide.
The resort embodies the natural and unobtrusive atmosphere it so effectively creates. The boutique villas and other buildings are thoughtfully arranged and designed around the natural environment. Roofs are constructed lovingly around giant trees and villas peek out of tropical foliage. This organic design is carried through to every room interior, individually and meticulously considered. The jacuzzi or pool villas are particularly magical, each one offering something special. You can sit on your balcony in your private jacuzzi gazing out over the palm thatched roofs and trees to the horizon or skip from your private beach area to your private pool and languidly contemplate the waves lapping at the sand. Of course, the pièce de résistance is the Hilltop Villa with it’s stunning infinity pool, jaw dropping view and, aside from your butler service, you are completely secluded.
Romance & honeymoons
Honeymooners, bride and grooms to-be and romantics have a wealth of amorous options to make their holiday as dreamy as possible. Honeymooners can expect to be treated to little welcoming touches in their room upon arrival as well as a free upgrade to the next level room. There are few things more romantic than spending the morning relaxing on the beach, sharing a soothing massage with your partner in the Spa in the afternoon and in the evening dining by candle-light under a silvery moon. The Paradise Boutique Romantic Dinner is truly magical and an ideal setting to pop the question or to just enjoy your partner’s company in paradise. A candle-lit flower archway marks the entrance to your private beach table setting. As you sip your wine or champagne and delight in each other’s company, the starry blanket above and the moon-lit sea view, you will barely notice the ever present, discrete staff tend to your every need and serve you dish after dish of sumptuous cuisine.
The Paradise Boutique excels in it’s dining. There is a Thai and Mediterranean restaurant and both are equally delicious. The manager is a talented ex-chef and it shows in his attention to detail, from the breakfast buffet selection (unrivaled) to the weekly Thai buffet night. Those with dietary requirements need not worry as they are catered for with consideration and imagination. Gluten-free bread will even be lovingly hand made for you should you wish. And for those fervent carnivores the Steak night is a veritable feast!
When you enter through the changing room of The Paradise Spa, you step into a magical world of relaxation. The characteristic organic design of the boutique is no where more present than here as the spa winds it’s way into the rainforest hillside. A granite rock waterfall houses an aromatic steam cave and once you have sweated out any impurities within the steamy cocoon, you can emerge to cool off in the refreshing rain-water rock pool fed by the waterfall. Over a dainty wooden bridge, past a tiny Buddhist shrine, the individual sala Thai (traditional pavilion) appear out of the foliage. Here, in total privacy, you can be scrubbed, wrapped and massaged until every muscle in your body relaxes and your skin glows. The spa menu is extensive using some of the very best natural ingredients for the treatments described in the most alluring ways. The ever professional spa therapists can assist you in picking the perfect treatment for your needs.
The ‘Romance in Paradise’ is a particularly lovely addition to a romantic holiday. Lying next to each other in your sala, both you and your partner spend two hours receiving full body scrubs and massages. Late afternoon/early evening is a great time to have this treatment. As the sun begins to lower in the sky the Spa forest twinkles with lanterns. Frogs and cicada strike up song with the occasional gecko call accompanying the natural orchestra. You will literally float from your treatment to your luxury villa under a starry tropical sky.
The Paradise Boutique is the perfect place to re-align and renew your body. A morning class will energise and focus you whilst the gentler afternoon class will, along with the view of the setting sun and the sound of rippling water against the rocks, clear your mind and cleanse your soul.
From the moment we arrived at The Paradise Boutique we were overwhelmed by the level of personal care and attentiveness exhibited by every member of staff. This is clearly an ethos instilled by Michael the manager, who always has time for his guests and has an enthusiastic yet gentle air to him that is quick to rub off. For the duration of our stay we felt part of he Paradise family and were sad to leave. It was definitely one of the highlights of our honeymoon. So much so that we wished we could have got married there, for any wedding at The Paradise Boutique would be a perfectly exquisite day indeed.
Don’t pack shoes, you won’t need them at The Paradise Boutique, barefoot luxury at it’s finest.
