The popular Coral Strand hotel is situated on the beach on the Western side of Mahe island, on Beau Vallon beach, which has a few restaurants, a bar, a couple of small shops and a dive centre within less than a minutes walk away from the hotel. This is one of the busier hotels on the island, and always busting with people. Great location for being by the beach, easy access to everything including a short bus ride into the main town of Victoria if you need to buy something.
This hotel has around 140 rooms, which almost all have private balconies, with over half overlooking the beautiful bay. Roughly 20 minutes drive or taxi from the main Seychelles airport in Victoria. All mod cons, Internet access, and everything you can ask for. It has a large swimming pool, which is within walking distance from the beach and main bay area. This luxury hotel is positioned between the bay and the jungle and offers a great selection of local Creole food.
I have stayed down the road from this hotel many times, and always come back to the dive centre here, which I think just recently moved a couple of doors down the beach. Wonderful scuba diving can be had from this beach.
