When you enter through the changing room of The Paradise Spa, you step into a magical world of relaxation. The characteristic organic design of the boutique is no where more present than here as the spa winds it’s way into the rainforest hillside. A granite rock waterfall houses an aromatic steam cave and once you have sweated out any impurities within the steamy cocoon, you can emerge to cool off in the refreshing rain-water rock pool fed by the waterfall. Over a dainty wooden bridge, past a tiny Buddhist shrine, the individual sala Thai (traditional pavilion) appear out of the foliage. Here, in total privacy, you can be scrubbed, wrapped and massaged until every muscle in your body relaxes and your skin glows. The spa menu is extensive using some of the very best natural ingredients for the treatments described in the most alluring ways. The ever professional spa therapists can assist you in picking the perfect treatment for your needs.

The ‘Romance in Paradise’ is a particularly lovely addition to a romantic holiday. From the moment we arrived at The Paradise Boutique we were overwhelmed by the level of personal care and attentiveness exhibited by every member of staff. This is clearly an ethos instilled by Michael the manager, who always has time for his guests and has an enthusiastic yet gentle air to him that is quick to rub off. For the duration of our stay we felt part of he Paradise family and were sad to leave. It was definitely one of the highlights of our honeymoon. So much so that we wished we could have got married there, for any wedding at The Paradise Boutique would be a perfectly exquisite day indeed.

Don’t pack shoes, you won’t need them at The Paradise Boutique, barefoot luxury at it’s finest.

Babashak is a luxury bed and breakfast hotel based in Antigua, Antigua and Barbuda. The luxury accommodation is actually located on Main Street Salem in Runaway Bay, 4375. Babashak b&b is beautifully close to the sea, a whopping fifteen feet away! A classically Jamaican feel, top quality seafood dishes as well as offering on of the best vegetarian and vegan restaurants on the island – well worth a visit if you are a non meat eater such as myself! The staff a warm and welcoming, and always willing to help. According to the meat eaters among us, the restaurant is well known for it’s excellent traditional Jamaican food, as well as traditional Rastafarian cuisine.

This hotel is definitely one of the cheaper options on the island, but don’t be put off – it still offers an excellent service and a warm welcome.
